{"id":84912,"date":"2025-12-30T19:52:18","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T19:52:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/84912\/"},"modified":"2025-12-30T19:52:18","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T19:52:18","slug":"kccp-honors-two-brooklynites-and-one-brooklyn-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/84912\/","title":{"rendered":"KCCP honors two Brooklynites and one Brooklyn business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DYKER HEIGHTS \u2014 The Kings County Conservative Party\u2019s annual reception recently took place at Siricos, honoring the Brooklyn-based caterer and banquet hall in addition to two significant Brooklynites.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Eileen Long was acknowledged by the Kings County Conservative Party (KCCP) as \u201ca lifetime advocate and matriarch of conservative principles\u201d and received the James Gay Memorial Award. Photo courtesy of the Kings County Conservative PartyEmbodying conservative values\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>KCCP Chair Fran Vella-Marrone told the Brooklyn Eagle that Long embodies conservative values.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was active from the very beginning, supporting all the candidates and supporting the issues,\u201d Vella-Marrone said. \u201cEileen was just somebody that we all could count on and somebody that I emulated. She\u2019s still a supporter of the Conservative Party, and I think it was so apropos that we gave her this honor.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Vella-Marrone pointed out that Staub, who is on the KCCP\u2019s executive committee, is a very active member. \u201cKaren was influential in getting candidate petition signatures, which is so important, but she also supports the party throughout the year.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/1-kccp-e1767117277985.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-358696\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/1-kccp-e1767117277985.jpg\" alt=\"Kings County Republican Party Chair Liam McCabe. Photo courtesy of the Kings County Conservative Party<\/p>\n<p>Siricos, a family-owned and operated business, is known as a site for weddings, sweet 16 parties, anniversaries, graduations, communions, corporate events and other milestone celebrations. The venue was recognized at the event as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe gave Sirico\u2019s a citation honoring them for their 100 years in business,\u201d Vella-Marrone said. \u201cIt\u2019s amazing to have a business that\u2019s been around for 100 years and is still going strong.
