STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 For more than a decade, William \u201cBill\u201d Falcone dedicated his life to educating and uplifting Staten Island students. <\/p>\n
Known for his kindness and unwavering commitment to education, the longtime educator died of natural causes on Dec. 24. He was 59. <\/p>\n
Born on May 15, 1966, Falcone was raised on Staten Island, where he dedicated much of his life to education and service. He taught for 16 years at Barnes Intermediate School (I.S. 24)<\/a> in Great Kills, where he was known not only for his commitment to academic excellence but also for the genuine care he showed toward every student who walked into his classroom. <\/p>\n School officials described Falcone as a valued and deeply respected member of the I.S.24 community in a statement shared on the school\u2019s Facebook page<\/a>, calling his passing a heartbreaking loss for all. <\/p>\n \u201cIt is with profound sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of Teacher, Mr. William Falcone, a valued member of our school community who served as a Teacher for sixteen years,\u201d the post read<\/a>. \u201cThis loss is heartbreaking, and we know it will affect many of our students and families.\u201d<\/p>\n A man of faith, Falcone lived according to Christian principles and was known among family and friends for his kindness, patience and generosity. He was a constant source of support to those closest to him. His sister, Laura Hazelett, remembered him not only as a loving brother but as a true friend and confidant, according to Falcone\u2019s obituary<\/a>. <\/p>\n Outside the classroom, Falcone found joy on the open road as a passionate Harley-Davidson rider.
