Andy Cohen tore into former NYC Mayor Eric Adams minutes after the New Year\u2019s Eve ball dropped in Times Square on Thursday morning<\/a> \u2014 as his co-host Anderson Cooper passively failed to stop the wild rant. <\/p>\n

The Emmy-winning Bravo host, 57, didn\u2019t mince words in his on-air sendoff message over Adams\u2019 \u201chorrible\u201d four-year term, telling the now-jobless Democrat to \u201cgo off in the sunset.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d like to say, watching the final moments of Mayor Adams\u2019 chaotic, horrible\u2026,\u201d Cohen started to say during a segment on CNN\u2019s \u201cNew Year\u2019s Eve Live.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cooper and \u201cThe Office\u201d star BJ Novak both tried to calm down the rambling Cohen as he held a shot glass while pouring out his disdain for the 65-year-old Adams.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want to say, I mean he\u2019s got his pardons, he\u2019s pardoned,\u201d Cohen incorrectly spewed, seemingly referring to Adams\u2019 federal corruption charges being dismissed by a federal judge \u201cwith prejudice\u201d back in April.<\/p>\n

\u201cGreat, you got your pardons, go off in the sunset. We\u2019ll, we\u2019ll fiddle with what we have, with what you left us with.\u201d<\/p>\n

Novak suggested Cohen should be \u201ccut off\u201d as Cohen continued his rant on CNN, which had once banned drinking on-air during New Year\u2019s festivities. <\/p>\n

An anxious-looking Cooper put his arm around his longtime co-host to try to de-escalate the rant to no avail, while Novak said that \u201che can\u2019t help himself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou pardoned your way through four years, and all the clubs, we\u2019ll see you there,\u201d Cohen said directly into the camera.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want to say, goodbye, Mayor Adams, you did it, you did it, you did it, didn\u2019t you?\u201d<\/p>\n

Cohen was on stage with co-host Anderson Cooper and \u201cThe Office\u201d star BJ Novak. CNN<\/p>\n

Cohen sarcastically congratulated the former mayor for recently implementing the brand new Office of Rodent Mitigation<\/a> through an executive order in December.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I will say this, I think he may have dented the rat population,\u201d Cohen snarked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he got rid of some of the rats, but isn\u2019t that a metaphor of sorts?\u201d Cohen added. \u201cLet\u2019s call it as it is, honestly.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is 2026 and there are less rats,\u201d he said, possibly digging at Adams before taking a sip of his drink.<\/p>\n

As the clock struck midnight, Adams metaphorically handed the Gracie Mansion keys to Democrat-Socialist Zohran Mamdani, who was sworn-in as mayor <\/a>by NY Attorney General Letitia James<\/p>\n

The private ceremony was held below City Hall Park in a grand, abandoned old subway stop on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

Mamdani, 34, was sworn in on a Quran held by his wife, artist Rama Duwaji.<\/a><\/p>\n

The chaotic CNN show, which is broadcast live from Midtown Manhattan, has faced scrutiny in previous years over its personalities\u2019 on-air drinking.<\/p>\n

The outlet infamously placed an alcohol ban<\/a> on on-air talent besides Cooper and Cohen, blaming it on former anchor Don Lemon, who was noticeably tipsy and boozy during the previous New Year\u2019s Eve festivities.<\/p>\n

During the chaotic 2022 New Year\u2019s celebration, Cohen launched into a heated rant on Adam\u2019s predecessor Bill de Blasio.<\/a><\/p>\n

Cohen ripped into the towering former mayor when he left office in 2022, telling de Blasio to \u201cdo his victory lap dance after four years as the crappiest term of the mayor of New York.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only thing that Democrats and Republicans can agree on is what a horrible mayor he has been. So, sayonara sucker!\u201d Cohen said.<\/p>\n
