Monday, Nov. 24, 2025.(Advance\/SILive.com | Jan Somma-Hammel)<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"HQTITPUCXFG75H5K3366GFZZ7A\">STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.\u2014 A minor vehicle collision on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge into Staten Island closed multiple lanes, according to MTA officials.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"OGJ4J46XCJGVJANPSB7JCCCNQ4\">In a notification sent out by the MTA at 3:22 p.m., two Staten Island-bound upper-level lanes were blocked.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"NIRJYDSHSFG3DMRUGBMXPWHHRY\">\u201cMTAPD is on the scene, and they\u2019re working to clear it,\u201d a spokesman for the MTA told the Advance\/SILive.com. \u201cThe crash is on the ramp coming off the Gowanus Expressway to the Staten Island bound upper level of the bridge.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"FDRKG57RXJAONFFRCHGPSFMELI\">Emergency transmissions indicated that injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"BUWZ5CCTL5DZPJP7REOARQL4GQ\">The FDNY did not respond to a request for comment by the time of publication.<\/p>\n<p>McLawrence joined SILive.com in 2022, she holds a master&#8217;s degree from Syracuse University&#8217;s Newhouse School of Public Communications.
