STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 A Staten Island family is desperately searching for 17-year-old Aaron Beswick, who disappeared from his home seven weeks ago<\/a>, with few leads despite their continuous efforts to locate the Port Richmond High School junior.<\/p>\n

Aaron, described by his relatives as one who keeps to himself was last seen in his home on Morningstar Road in Elm Park on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025<\/a> after his mother, Nadine Beswick, left for work at around 9 a.m. that morning. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo my son is a loner, he doesn\u2019t have many friends and was barely going to school,\u201d the mother told the Advance\/SILive.com during an interview. \u201cHe\u2019s going through a mild depression.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tanika Beswick, Aaron\u2019s aunt, recounted the moment her sister discovered her beloved nephew was missing.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis mom, Nadine, called me at 7 p.m., and she was like, \u2018Aaron didn\u2019t walk the dog. He\u2019s not here,\u2019 And I said, \u2018What you mean he\u2019s not here?\u2019\u201d Tanika Beswick said.<\/p>\n

The search for Aaron has been frustrating, due to what the family perceives as a delayed police response and barriers preventing access to potential clues in Aaron\u2019s digital devices.<\/p>\n

The family was told they\u2019d have to wait 72 hours to file a missing person report because of his age, Tanika Beswick explained said. She expressed frustration that police may have initially viewed Aaron as simply a runaway rather than someone potentially in danger. <\/p>\n

The family expressed concern that Aaron, who is described as being heavily interested in online gaming, may have been lured by someone he met online. <\/p>\n

According to Nadine Beswick, Aaron may have been playing Roblox or Fortnite under either the username or character skin \u201cMarigold.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like he got lured through that,\u201d Tanika Beswick said.<\/p>\n

The investigation has faced technological hurdles as well. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe police officer told us that it will take nearly three weeks to obtain a subpoena,\u201d Tanika Beswick said. When the family brought the device to an Apple store for help, \u201cApple told me that they can\u2019t open it without a subpoena,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

The family believes Aaron may be struggling emotionally. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s not a troubled child. He\u2019s more secluded. A kid that keeps to himself,\u201d Tanika Beswick said of her nephew. \u201cHe really doesn\u2019t have many friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aaron\u2019s iPad, which might contain vital information about his whereabouts or contacts, remains locked with sophisticated security features that prevent access without proper legal authorization.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like he was having a conversation with somebody online who befriended him, called him and said, \u2018Oh, X, Y and Z, and he went thinking that this person was a friend and just disappeared,\u201d Nadine Beswick explained.<\/p>\n

The most recent unconfirmed sighting of a young man that fit Aaron\u2019s description came from a tip after the family distributed posters throughout the borough. <\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone believes they saw him on an MTA bus traveling on Bay Street,\u201d Tanika Beswick said. \u201cThe person they saw exited on Jersey Street. From there, he vanished.\u201d <\/p>\n

This alleged sighting placed a person that fit the teen\u2019s description on Richmond Terrace in New Brighton heading toward the Staten Island Ferry terminal in St. George.<\/p>\n

As the search enters its second month, the family has been posting flyers in local businesses, including bodegas near the ferry terminal, hoping someone might recognize Aaron and report his whereabouts to authorities. <\/p>\n

\u201cPlease, if they see my child, call the police right away,\u201d Nadine Beswick pleaded to Staten Islanders. \u201cNo matter what, just report it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the challenges, the family remains hopeful for Aaron\u2019s safe return and has a message for him if he sees their pleas.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want Aaron to know that we miss him, love him and we want him to come home,\u201d Tanika Beswick said. \u201cI just want him to come home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nadine Beswick\u2019s message to her son is heartfelt: \u201cMommy needs you to come home. I want you to know, Aaron, that whatever is going on we can fix it. I love you and, yes, I am worried about you. Your dad is worried about you too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police described Aaron as standing about 6 feet tall and weighing about 130 pounds. He has a thin build, medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information about Aaron\u2019s whereabouts is urged to contact the police immediately.<\/p>\n

The NYPD said there are no new updates in the case, according to a statement from the NYPD\u2019s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of this individual is asked to call the NYPD\u2019s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
