\n\tQueen Mary of Denmark<\/a> gave royal regal dressing a new level of elegance in combined pieces by designers Jesper H\u00f8vring<\/a> and Lasse Spangenberg for New Year\u2019s Day celebrations at Christian VII\u2019s Palace in Copenhagen on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\n\tDenmark\u2019s queen consort wore an ornately, delicately crafted lace top by Copenhagen-based designer Spangenberg, featuring long flowing sleeves with a cinched cuff and a high neckline complete with sheer fabric and botanical inspiration throughout.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe top of Queen Mary\u2019s look was coordinated with a skirt by H\u00f8vring. Another Denmark-based designer, H\u00f8vring\u2019s skirt is a favorite of Queen Mary\u2019s and has been worn by the royal on other previous occasions. With a champagne tone, the skirt complemented the sheer, delicate fabric of Queen Mary\u2019s lace top.<\/p>\n

\n\tA belt at the waist added further silhouette definition to the overall look, elevating Queen Mary\u2019s attire from regally royal to modern elegance. To accessorize her attire, Queen Mary added historic jewelry pieces from Denmark\u2019s royal vault.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe country\u2019s queen consort wore earrings from the Danish crown diamond parure, which she paired with the rose-cut diamond bandeau tiara. The diamonds featured in the tiara have been in the Danish royal vault since the 1700s, and it was Queen Mary who commissioned the jewels to be designed into the simple tiara, per The Court Jeweller.<\/p>\n

\n\tSince ascending the throne alongside her husband King Frederik X in January 2024, Queen Mary of Denmark\u2019s royal wardrobe has included looks echoing tradition and nods to the Danish royal family\u2019s history alongside modern feminine touches, power suiting moments<\/a> and contemporary takes on occasion dressing, among other trends.<\/p>\n
