STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Looking for a break from the frigid temperatures sneaking into your home, your car, and your bones? This week will offer a brief reprieve. <\/p>\n

Sunday will top out at 37 degrees, according to AccuWeather<\/a>, as wind gusts reach roughly 24 miles-per-hour. Expect sun in between the odd cloud or two, which will hopefully melt some of that residual ice and snow from storms passed. <\/p>\n

Kicking off the work week, Monday follows a similar pattern to Sunday \u2014 minus the sun and the brisk wind. Instead, despite maintaining a high temperature of 37 degrees, it will feel more like 31 degrees. <\/p>\n

Monday night sinks to 33 degrees, making it opportune for \u201can evening flurry,\u201d AccuWeather predicts.<\/a> Don\u2019t pull out the shovel, though; there shouldn\u2019t be any accumulation. <\/p>\n

The warm-up begins Tuesday. <\/p>\n

Figure in some sun with a lot of clouds as temperatures reach 44 degrees, before making way for \u201ca little rain\u201d come the evening. <\/p>\n

That sprinkle of rain could carry over into the early morning hours of Wednesday, but the main concern will be the 30 mile-per-hour winds that carry on throughout hump day. Hitting 49 degrees, the day will be 10 degrees warmer than the average for this time of year: 39 degrees. <\/p>\n

Thursday will feel like 50 degrees as we reach 47 degrees for a high, with \u201cmostly sunny\u201d conditions gracing us throughout the day. The wind dies down, too, before Friday hits us with a high of 51 degrees and a smattering of rain in the afternoon and evening. <\/p>\n

Don\u2019t count on the sun Friday or Saturday. <\/p>\n

Saturday\u2019s high temperature is predicted to be 53 degrees, \u201ccloudy with occasional rain followed by a steadier rain,\u201d AccuWeather wrote<\/a>. That rain carries on into the night, before clearing in time for Sunday. <\/p>\n

Sunday will only reach 46 degrees, but the sun will make a break for it once again.
