Nick DeGrado and Alexander Raphael added nine and eight points, respectively, for the Mavs, who dropped to 2-8 overall (1-6 CHSAA). <\/p>\n
Brayden Ojeda scored a team-high 14 points while Justin Williams, Eric Lamparter and Aidan Fontanez teamed for another 22 markers for the Crusaders (4-8 overall, 2-4 CHSAA).<\/p>\n
Moore got off to a good start as Vinson\u2019s five first-quarter points helped the visitors take a 13-8 advantage into the second quarter.<\/p>\n
However, the Crusaders outscored Moore 31-15 during the middle periods behind Ojeda (10 points) as they carried a 39-29 lead into the final eight minutes.<\/p>\n
Moore refused to go quietly. Vinson, who finished with a pair of conventional three-point plays in the contest, scored nine while DeGrado and Raphael added four apiece to make things interesting, but the Crusaders held on for the one-point victory.<\/p>\n

Christian Brown (five three-pointers, 3 for 3 from the free-throw line) and Malik Fields led Hayes with 24 and 18 points, respectively. The Bronx school improved to 5-5 overall, including 3-3 in CHSAA play.<\/p>\n
Schoenberg\u2019s four points helped St. Peter\u2019s stay within striking distance as it trailed 16-10 after one period.<\/p>\n
However, the Cardinals turned up their defense a notch in the second-quarter and it ignited a decisive run.
