STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 The St. George Theatre will once again host a series of Murder Mystery Dinner Shows this month in conjunction with The Murder Mystery Company and catering by Italianissimo Ristorante. <\/p>\n

The unique events will unfold with table seatings positioned on the historic stage as guests have the opportunity to face the majestic interior of the historic venue.<\/p>\n

\u201cBuilding off the success and great response from last year\u2019s Murder Mystery series, these Murder Mystery Dinner Shows are a fun, unique way to enjoy a night out at the theatre\u201d says Doreen P. Cugno, president and CEO of the non-profit theatre. \u201cWe are excited to offer our patrons the unique and exclusive opportunity to attend an event on stage like no one else has before.\u201d <\/p>\n

Each of the St. George Theatre\u2019s Murder Mystery Dinner Shows have a theme: Friday, Jan. 16, a 1980s themed event is titled: \u201cI Love the \u201980s to Death\u201d and Saturday, Jan. 17, a glamorous masked soiree titled \u201cMidnight at the Masquerade.\u201d <\/p>\n

Both events begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. and run approximately three hours. <\/p>\n

The dinner shows, catered by Italianissimo Ristorante, will feature appetizers, a buffet dinner, dessert, and an open bar. <\/p>\n

Distinctive to these events is that attendees will receive the opportunity to dine on the stage of the theatre, with the house backlit in order give guests the perspective of performers who\u2019ve graced the cultural gem.<\/p>\n

Murder mystery events are interactive party games led by a team of actors during which attendees participate in a \u201cwhodunit\u201d by using scripted questions, answers, hints, and clues to determine who among the party committed the crime. <\/p>\n

Tickets are $135 per person and include dinner, open bar, and the show. <\/p>\n

Seating is limited. <\/p>\n

ABOUT THE ST. GEORGE THEATRE RESTORATION, INC.<\/p>\n

The St. George Theatre Restoration Inc, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration of the historic theater and its development as a cultural and performing arts center for Staten Island and all of New York City by providing community outreach programs, educational programs and public performances.<\/p>\n

Built in 1929, the theater was originally a lavish movie palace that also played host to vaudeville and Big Band shows from legends such as Al Jolson, Kate Smith, Jerry Lewis, and the Guy Lombardo Orchestra. <\/p>\n
