Mariann from Brooklyn may soon have to change her name to Mariann from Hollywood.<\/p>\n
As Howard revealed on Monday, the longtime caller and friend of the show has a substantial part in the critically acclaimed new film \u201cMarty Supreme,\u201d which stars Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Tyler, the Creator, among others.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe very first scene [has] Mariann from Brooklyn,\u201d Howard told his listeners. \u201cAnd she\u2019s really good in it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cReally?\u201d co-host Robin Quivers marveled.<\/p>\n
\u201cExcellent,\u201d Howard responded.<\/p>\n
Phoning into the show to discuss her big-screen debut, Mariann told Howard she was offered the part of a shoe store customer by director Josh Safdie, who is \u201ca big fan of the [Stern] Show.\u201d She then went on to do a 12-hour shoot with Chalamet, who plays an aspiring table tennis champion named Marty Mauser.<\/p>\n
