Police are investigating a string of six armed robberies that unfolded across Brooklyn and Queens, leaving residents and business owners shaken.<\/p>\n
The first robbery was caught on an exclusive surveillance video at 1695 Broadway. Days later, another store in Bed-Stuy was hit, with suspects making off with $500. Neighbors say the violence feels relentless.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m so used to crime in Brooklyn that nothing really phases me,\u201d said resident Ricky.<\/p>\n
According to police, the suspects then targeted a liquor store at 504 Nostrand Ave., again stealing $500.<\/p>\n
Surveillance footage shows the group casing a nearby shop just doors away. That store\u2019s owner says the repeated activity has left her fearful.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey come as a group every time. We don\u2019t know if they will attack us or bring a weapon, so I\u2019m scared,\u201d said shop owner Saw.<\/p>\n
The robbery spree didn\u2019t stop there. Police say the group also struck a store at 98-05 Jamaica Avenue in Queens, stealing $600, six iPhones and a Nintendo Switch, all just before noon.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey don\u2019t care about the time. They come during the daytime also,\u201d Saw added.<\/p>\n
Investigators say the suspects eventually returned to 504 Nostrand Ave., where surveillance shows a cashier staring down the barrel of a gun as $200 was taken. Residents say the pattern of gun violence must end.<\/p>\n
A shop cashier named Bryan says the group rushed in demanding cash, which he handed over “because [he] didn’t want to get shot.”<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s been happening for a long time now,\u201d Ricky said. \u201cStricter gun control laws – everybody\u2019s talking about it, nothing happens.\u201d<\/p>\n
Police sources tell News 12 that the investigation is ongoing and urge anyone who recognizes the suspects or has information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-577-TIPS (8477).
