(WIBW) &#8211; Two people were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash Friday afternoon in Manhattan, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The collision was reported around 4:14 p.m. Friday near 4th Street and Fort Riley Boulevard, on the south edge of downtown Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Riley County police said a 2011 GMC Terrain, driven by Chassity Rathke, 49, of Council Grove, collided head-on with a 2019 Mercedes-Benz driven by Tiffany Massenburg, 40, of Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Two people were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash Friday afternoon in Manhattan,...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/GLDOPRYRXFLF3FZN7AYR5W2PYM.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"580\" \/>Two people were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash Friday afternoon in Manhattan, according to Riley County Police officials.(KWCH)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Authorities said the crash occurred in a turn lane.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Both drivers were transported to Ascension Via Christi Hospital for treatment of injuries they sustained in the crash. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">No citations were issued, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 WIBW.
