{"id":95311,"date":"2026-01-09T23:06:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T23:06:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/95311\/"},"modified":"2026-01-09T23:06:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T23:06:09","slug":"two-men-shot-inside-brooklyn-bodega-in-flatbush-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/95311\/","title":{"rendered":"Two men shot inside Brooklyn bodega in Flatbush"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Two men were shot \u2014 one in the face and one in the back \u2014 inside a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/2025\/09\/18\/brooklyn-bodega-worker-speaks-out-says-he-was-defending-himself-in-deadly-clash\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Brooklyn bodega;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Brooklyn bodega<\/a> on Friday, cops said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The victims, ages 24 and 26, were shot inside the deli on Flatbush Ave. near Newkirk Ave. in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/2025\/12\/19\/brooklyn-man-retrial-murder-dismissed-spent-11-years-prison\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Flatbush;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Flatbush<\/a> around 2:47 p.m., said police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The older victim was still inside the bodega with a gunshot wound to the back when police arrived, a law enforcement source said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The other man attempted to reach a hospital by private means, but was intercepted at some point by paramedics, who stepped in to provide medical care, sources said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Both men were taken to <a href=\"https:\/\/nychealthandhospitals-appservice-east-us.azurewebsites.net\/locations\/kings-county\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Kings County Hospital;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Kings County Hospital<\/a> in stable condition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police are looking for a man with light complexion wearing a black puffy jacket, ripped blue jeans and black-and-white sneakers, who was last seen fleeing west on Newkirk Ave.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The United Bodegas Association has offered a $5,000 reward for anyone who provides information leading to an arrest in the shooting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Anyone with information is asked to call <a href=\"https:\/\/crimestoppers.nypdonline.org\/?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Crime Stoppers;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Crime Stoppers<\/a> at (800) 577-TIPS.
