{"id":95863,"date":"2026-01-10T16:46:35","date_gmt":"2026-01-10T16:46:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/95863\/"},"modified":"2026-01-10T16:46:35","modified_gmt":"2026-01-10T16:46:35","slug":"news-12-brooklyn-person-injured-in-wednesdays-bensonhurst-fire-dies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/95863\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | Brooklyn | Person injured in Wednesday\u2019s Bensonhurst fire dies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A person pulled from a burning home in Bensonhurst early Wednesday morning has died, according to the FDNY.<\/p>\n<p>\tFirefighters responded to <a href=\"https:\/\/brooklyn.news12.com\/one-person-critically-injured-in-bensonhurst-basement-blaze-lithium-ion-battery-found\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a blaze at a two-story home<\/a> at 2246 64th St. just before 7 a.m. on Jan. 7.<\/p>\n<p>The FDNY said the fire started in a basement apartment, where firefighters said they found a lithium-ion battery.<\/p>\n<p>Crews rescued one person from the home and rushed them to a hospital in critical condition.
