A Bronx man stabbed his neighbor to death<\/a> after taking offense to the victim walking into the suspect\u2019s apartment high on meth and carrying a meth pipe, law enforcement sources tell the Daily News.<\/p>\n

Antonio Jackson admitted he knifed 34-year-old neighbor Aaron Carpenter multiple times outside the victim\u2019s Crotona Park East apartment building Friday evening, according to the sources.<\/p>\n

Jackson, 31, was arraigned on murder, manslaughter and weapon possession charges in Bronx Criminal Court Sunday and was ordered held without bail on Rikers Island.<\/p>\n

Though police listed Carpenter\u2019s address in South Jamaica, Queens, he actually was currently living in an apartment building on Bryant Ave. near E. 172nd St.<\/a> next door to Jackson\u2019s, sources said.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Carpenter walked into Jackson\u2019s building and entered his apartment, apparently high on meth and carrying a meth pipe, sources said. Jackson would later tell police he felt disrespected by the incursion.<\/p>\n

Jackson and a neighbor escorted the victim out of the building and a short time later, Jackson went outside wielding a 12-inch kitchen knife to confront Carpenter, sources said.<\/p>\n

Carpenter tried to get back into his own apartment building but Jackson \u201cran him down,\u201d repeatedly stabbing him from behind on the victim\u2019s stoop, a law enforcement source said.<\/p>\n

He allegedly stabbed Carpenter repeatedly in the neck and torso and Carpenter fell to the ground, sources said. Jackson briefly left but returned to see Carpenter bleeding out in front of a neighboring building, the source said.<\/p>\n

Police arrested Carpenter in the area shortly after and he allegedly admitted to the stabbing, saying he felt \u201cdisrespected\u201d by the victim entering his apartment high on meth, the source said.<\/p>\n

Medics rushed Carpenter to St. Barnabas Hospital but he couldn\u2019t be saved.<\/p>\n

Jackson also faces charges in a pending domestic violence case \u2014 he\u2019s accused of repeatedly punching his 28-year-old intimate partner in her face and head in his apartment on Dec. 16 and putting a plastic bag over her head to cut off her breathing.<\/p>\n

Jackson\u2019s lawyer could not immediately be reached for comment Monday.<\/p>\n

Carpenter\u2019s slaying marks the first homicide this year in the 42nd Precinct,<\/a> which covers Claremont, Crotona Park East and Crotona Park.<\/p>\n
