BROOKLYN, NY \u2014 The old \u201cis your refrigerator running?\u201d joke took on a real-life twist after police began searching for suspects in an early-morning burglary at a closed Brooklyn restaurant.<\/p>\n
Police are asking for the public\u2019s help in finding a group accused of breaking into Friendship BBQ, a shuttered Sunset Park restaurant, and stealing a refrigerator early on Dec. 8.<\/p>\n
Authorities said the suspects entered the restaurant at 770 50th Street around 1 a.m., using keys to get through the front door before making off with the fridge.<\/p>\n
In addition to the refrigerator, police said the suspects also took several kitchen items before fleeing the scene. Authorities were unable to say how the fridge was removed or what type it was.<\/p>\n
Although multiple people were involved, police were only able to recover surveillance footage of one suspect, who is pictured below. <\/p>\n
