EAST FLATBUSH \u2014 BOJANGLES OPENED ITS first New York location, marking the North Carolina-founded fried chicken chain\u2019s entry into the state, Business Wire reports.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Brooklyn outpost\u00a0at 5910 Church Ave. opened to the public early Monday, Jan. 12, following a preview event for local first responders and community groups.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The dining room will close at midnight, while the drive-thru will operate 24\/7. The opening is part of a long-term franchise agreement by operator Habib Hashimi and Hashimi Holding Corp. to develop up to 20 Bojangles locations in New York City over the next decade.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1977, Bojangles has more than 850 locations nationwide and is expanding beyond its Southern base as competition intensifies in the city\u2019s fast-casual chicken market.<\/p>\n
