L. MILFORD TWP., Pa. – Tuesday is National Apple Day, and it falls during peak apple picking season.

If you are looking to make core memories, a Lehigh County apple orchard could be the perfect pick.

69 News Reporter Cierra Genelle visited Hamilton Family Orchards in Lower Milford Township Tuesday morning.

People can pick their own apples at the orchard on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to the Hamilton Family Orchards website. It is open Fridays and Mondays from noon to 4 p.m.

Pink lady apples, fuji apples, cameo apples, golden delicious apples, empire apples, red delicious apples, and cortland apples are available for picking. Fresh local honey, freshly pressed apple cider, and apple butter are available for purchase, the orchard’s website says.

Owner Debi Hamilton said the orchard uses at least four different varieties of apples to make its homemade cider, which it makes every Thursday.

The orchard’s located at 7786 Steinsburg Road.
