LOWER MERION-NARBERTH, PA — Traffic safety and calming on a busy Main Line road will be the topic of a public discussion next week.

Lower Merion Township and Narberth Borough residents are invited to attend the upcoming Montgomery Avenue Corridor Traffic Calming and Safety Action Plan meeting.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the second-floor boardroom of the Lower Merion Township Administration Building in Ardmore.

Township and borough officials will host a public meeting to introduce the plan. Attendees will learn about the planning process and review crash and traffic data collected as part of the plan.

Feedback on the data is welcome, and residents are encouraged to discuss their own experiences and safety concerns along Montgomery Avenue, from Spring Mill Road to City Avenue.

Township and borough staff will use this public input to help develop a preliminary set of recommendations to improve safety and mobility. Specific recommendations will not be presented at Tuesday’s meeting, but a future public meeting will be held once early recommendations are developed to gather more community feedback.

This joint effort is federally funded through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Grant Program and is focused on improving safety and mobility for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians along a seven-mile segment of this critical roadway (the plan includes Montgomery Avenue from Spring Mill Road to City Avenue).

The Lower Merion Township Administration Building is located at 75 E. Lancaster Ave. in Ardmore.
