Police are seeking two individuals — described as males between the ages of 16 and 20 years old — after they, allegedly, pulled a man from his vehicle and held him on the ground at gunpoint before robbing him and stealing his car in an incident that happened on Wednesday night in Wilmington, Del.

According to police, at about 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, troopers with the Delaware State Police responded to a shopping center along the 1900 block of Maryland Avenue in Wilmington, Delaware, after a reported robbery.

Here, officials said, they were met by a man who claimed two men — though they may be under the age of 18, police noted — approached him as he sat in a Toyota Corolla and each aimed a handgun at him and forced him out of the car.

The man told police that he was ordered to lay on the ground as one of the armed individuals stole cash from the victim, officials said.

After this robbery, the pair fled the scene in the victim’s Toyota, according to police.

Then, about an hour later, police said that troopers with the Delaware State Police spotted a vehicle matching the description of the stolen car near the intersection of East 27th Street and Rosemont Avenue in Wilmington, Delaware.

Upon seeing the trooper’s vehicle, officials said, the pair exited the car and fled the scene on foot.

Both individuals were described by police as being males with slim builds, who were likely between the ages of 16 and 20 years old. They were both wearing dark-colored clothes and ski masks at the time the incident occurred, officials said.

Officials said this incident is under investigation by the Delaware State Police.
