A 38-year-old New Jersey man was arrested days after he allegedly masturbated while driving past girls in Haddon Township.
Kyle R. Edelstein has been charged with two counts each of criminal sexual contact and lewdness, Haddon Township, police said Thursday. Edelstein was also charged with two counts endangering the welfare of a child.
Edelstein, of Pennsauken, was arrested by police on MacArthur Boulevard Tuesday after officers obtained a description of his van from witnesses and used an automated license plate reader, according to court documents.
Edelstein drove past girls three times on Jan. 21 — twice in the area of West Crystal Lake Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard and once near the corner of Pyle and Crestwood avenues, charging documents state. Both are residential neighborhoods, a few blocks from Haddon Township High School.
Edelstein’s attorney, Timothy Farrow, declined to comment.
