After Being Postponed, the Philadelphia Eagles Will Host This Year’s String Band Spectacular

Philadelphia’s most colorful and music-filled tradition is getting a stadium-sized encore. Following unexpected weather disruptions to the 2026 Mummers Parade on New Year’s Day, the judging portion of the String Band Division will officially take center stage at Lincoln Financial Field with the 2026 String Band Spectacular, taking place Saturday, January 31 at 2:00 p.m.

Hosted at the home of the Philadelphia Eagles, the ticketed event will bring the unmistakable sound, pageantry, and creativity of the Philadelphia Mummers String Band Association (PMSBA) into a safe, controlled, and weather-ready environment—ensuring these legendary performances get the spotlight they deserve.

The String Band Spectacular will showcase the full artistry of the String Band Division, highlighting elaborate costumes, precision choreography, and the powerful blend of banjos, brass, and percussion that defines this beloved Philly tradition. Fans can expect a full afternoon of on-field performances celebrating the originality and musicianship that make the Mummers unlike anything else in the country.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the event will also feature appearances by SWOOP, the Eagles Cheerleaders, and special guests—bringing together two of Philadelphia’s most iconic institutions for a uniquely Philly crossover moment.

A limited number of tickets remain available via Ticketmaster, and free parking will be offered in K Lot on a first-come, first-served basis for ticketed guests. Additional parking options will be available throughout the South Philadelphia Sports Complex.
