TRAFFIC REPORT. WELL, THEY SAY THE SHOW MUST GO ON. AND THAT IS CERTAINLY WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THE PENNSYLVANIA AUTO SHOW. IT IS UNDERWAY AT THE FARM SHOW COMPLEX. AND NEWS 8 GABRIEL THOMAS IS LIVE IN HARRISBURG WITH HOW ORGANIZERS HAVE BEEN PREPARING AFTER THIS WINTER STORM AND THE COLD TEMPERATURES WE’RE DEALING WITH. GOOD MORNING. GABRIELLE. HOW’S IT GOING THERE? GOOD MORNING, MEREDITH AND KATELYN. IT IS GOING SO WELL HERE AT THE PENNSYLVANIA AUTO SHOW. AS YOU CAN SEE, THERE’S SO MUCH FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY TO SEE, EXPERIENCE AND LEARN. I’M GOING TO TAKE YOU BACK TO 1914. TAKE A LOOK AT THIS VEHICLE. THIS IS A MODEL T. AS YOU CAN SEE IT IS BRIGHT YELLOW. AND THE TECHNOLOGY HAS DEFINITELY CHANGED OVER THE YEARS. AS YOU CAN SEE, THOSE LUXURY VEHICLES ACROSS THE HALL FROM US. NOW I HAVE DON PERRY JOINING ME THIS MORNING. HOW HAS THE TECHNOLOGY CHANGED OVER THE YEARS? I MEAN, THERE ISN’T REALLY ANY TECHNOLOGY IN THIS VEHICLE, RIGHT? YOU’RE KIND OF A COMFY AND COZY HERE, RIGHT? BUT CERTAINLY IF YOU WANT TO BACK THIS THING UP, THERE’S NO REAR BACKUP CAMERA IN THIS. THERE’S NO LANE KEEP THERE’S NO COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM. THERE’S NOT EVEN ANY SEATBELTS IN HERE. RIGHT. SO IT’S A LITTLE DIFFERENT FROM 1914 TO TODAY’S CAR, WHICH IS A WHICH IS MADE WITH ABS BRAKING SYSTEMS AND ALL THE TECHNOLOGY FROM 9 INCH TO 12 INCH SCREENS IN THE CAR, YOU KNOW, TO HELP NAVIGATE YOUR, YOUR PATH. IT’S JUST JUST AN INCREDIBLE DIFFERENCE HOW THE INDUSTRY IS INVOLVED ITSELF. WHAT ARE SOME THINGS THAT COMMUNITY MEMBERS CAN LEARN IF THEY COME OUT TO THE PENNSYLVANIA AUTO SHOW? NOT JUST ABOUT, YOU KNOW, THESE ANTIQUE VEHICLES, BUT JUST ALSO ABOUT COMMUNITY IN GENERAL. YEAH, IT’S A GREAT QUESTION. I MEAN, THERE’S A LOT OF HISTORY HERE. SO, YOU KNOW, BRINGING THE KIDS OUT TO LEARN A LITTLE BIT OF THE HISTORY OF THE CARS AS WELL AS THE COMMUNITY EVENTS THAT WE HAVE. AGAIN, THE DEALERS PUT A LOT OF MONEY INTO THE COMMUNITY INVESTMENTS AND ALL TYPES OF DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS. WE ALSO HAVE AN OUTSTANDING DISPLAY VEHICLES THAT YOU CAN VOTE ON. FIRST PLACE WILL BE $1,500. SECOND PLACE IS $1,000, AND THAT GETS DONATED TO A CHARITY AS WELL. SO A LOT OF GREAT THINGS TO DO WHILE YOU’RE AT THE SHOW, DON. THANK YOU. WELL, AS YOU CAN SEE, YOU CAN EXPERIENCE IT ALL HERE AT THE PENNSYLVANIA AUTO SHOW. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME OUT AND EXPERIENCE ALL OF THIS, FROM LUXURY CARS TO ANTIQUE VEHICLES, YOU CAN DO SO THROUGH SUNDAY REPORTING HERE AT THE FARM SHOW COMPLEX IN HARRISBURG. I’M GABRIELLE THOMAS, WGAL, NEWS EIGHT. I’M GOING TO BE REALLY QUICK. KATELYN AND MEREDITH. SO BRACE YOUR EARS REALLY QUICK. I HOPE ALL THOSE VEHICLES GOT THERE IN A COVERED CARRIER THAT THEY DIDN’T TRY TO DRIVE ON THE SNOWY ROADS, AND NO SNOW TIRES THERE. YELLOW IS YOUR COLOR THOUGH. GABRIEL THAT LOOKS GOOD.
