SCRANTON, Pa. (WOLF) — A Scranton man is facing dozens of felony charges following a months-long narcotics investigation that led detectives to discover illegal images involving children.

According to the Scranton Police Department, the Street Crimes Unit and Detective Bureau began an investigation in September 2025 into alleged narcotics-related activity involving 62-year-old David Clark.

During the course of that investigation, authorities learned Clark was allegedly in possession of images containing child sexual abuse material.

Investigators determined the material included images depicting indecent contact and other forms of child sexual exploitation.

After confirming the findings, police sought and obtained an arrest warrant.

On Tuesday, January 20, Clark was taken into custody by Scranton Police patrol officers without incident.

Clark has been charged with 25 felony counts of possession of child pornography depicting sexual contact and an additional 25 felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.

He was transported to the Lackawanna County Criminal Justice Center, where he was arraigned and subsequently remanded to the Lackawanna County Prison. Clark remains in custody while awaiting his preliminary hearing.

The investigation is ongoing.
