ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Two people are displaced after a large blaze in Allentown overnight.

County dispatchers say the fire started just after 10 p.m. on Gordon Street near the intersection with 9th Street. Crews were on scene for hours.

Smoke and flames could be seen pouring from the second floor of the building.

The Allentown Fire Department said there were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters. A dog died as a result of the fire, the fire department said.

The fire department said the two adults that were displaced are staying with relatives and did not want assistance from the Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
