Scranton police investigating a man for narcotics found he was in possession of a copious amount of child sexual abuse material.
In September, the department’s Street Crimes Unit and Detective Bureau conducted a narcotics investigation of Donald Clark, 62, of Scranton, police said.
During the investigation, officers learned Clark was in possession of child sex abuse materials that depicted indecent contact with children. The images were illegal, police noted.
Officers arrested Clark on Jan. 20. He is charged with 50 felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, according to the release.
He remains at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $40,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled 10:45 a.m. on Feb. 2 before District Judge Sean Gallagher.
