OBITUARY
Marjorie L. Shay, 95, of Dickson City, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at home. She was the widow of William C. Shay who died in 1998.
Born in Niagara Falls, New York, she was the daughter of the late Helena Brink Ferris.
A woman of devout faith, she was a member of The Gideons International.
Surviving is daughter Linda Holgate, Factoryville; son Bruce Shay and wife Brenda, Clarks Summit; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by son Robert W. Shay; grandson Michael James Holgate; siblings Lois Longcor, Carl Ferris Jr., Ruth Kubs, Jerry Ferris, Beverly Williams.
A celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held Sunday from 2-4 pm in the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons International at www.gideons.org.
