Nayara Ortega scored 16 points as nine different Red Knights scored in Reading High’s 47-26 BCIAA Division 1 girls basketball win over Berks Catholic on Saturday.
The Red Knights are 12-9 overall and 7-4 in Division 1. The close out the regular season on Monday at Gov. Mifflin (13-5, 9-2 Division 1).
For the Saints (7-12, 4-7), Liv Welker scored 15 points. Berks Catholic hosts Daniel Boone on Monday in the regular season finale for the Saints. Daniel Boone finishes the regular season on Wednesday against Manheim Central in a non-league game.
Kutztown 29, Palisades 12
Jade Fitzgerald scored 9 points to lead Kutztown to a 29-12 non-league win over Palisades on Saturday.
The Cougars are 14-6.
Gov. Mifflin 60, Blue Mountain 50
Saray Renninger scored 16 points as three Mustangs scored in double figures in Gov. Mifflin’s 60-50 non-league win over Blue Mountain on Saturday.
Bridget Martin had 15 points and Bella Super 14 for Gov. Mifflin (14-5).
