CARBONDALE, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — A water main break in the City of Carbondale disrupted water service for dozens of residents Saturday.
Pennsylvania American Water Company reported that an 8-inch water main ruptured along Fallbrook Street (State Route 106) at the intersection of North Scott Street.
The break affected approximately 40 customers in the surrounding area.
Crews responded to the scene and began repair efforts shortly after the break was reported. Officials estimate water service will be restored by about 8 p.m.
Residents in the affected area may experience low water pressure or a temporary loss of service while repairs are underway.
