READING, Pa. – Authorities in Reading are releasing more information about a shooting at a weekend basketball tournament that sent two people to the hospital.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. Sunday, police responded to 3rd & Spruce Recreation Center for a reported shooting.
Arriving officers located two people at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds who were transported for medical treatment. At this time, police say the two are expected to recover.
Investigators say the shooting happened during a private event. The rec center had been rented for the evening in order to host a basketball tournament.
Authorities say the incident is active and ongoing.
