ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Savor delicious dishes while supporting local businesses during Downtown Allentown Restaurant Week, continuing through Feb. 7.

The event, which kicked off Sunday, features limited-time, fixed-price menus and other special offers at more than a dozen restaurants and foodie destinations in Center City Allentown.

The Dime operates at 12 N. Seventh St. in downtown Allentown.

Participants include familiar favorites such as The Dime and Brü Daddy’s Brewing Co., along with new spots like Spice Route and Cozy Crumbs Café.

The week-long event promises “a little something for everyone.”

“Enjoy specials and prix fixe menus from a variety of Downtown Allentown restaurants, cafes, bakeries + more during this exclusive week dedicated to all things food!” reads a message on the event’s website.

Foodies will find special menus at the newly opened Rosa Blanca and Okatshe restaurants – both owned by José Garces, a James Beard Award-winning chef who also won the second season of “The Next Iron Chef.”

Rosa Blanca operates at 950 Hamilton St. in downtown Allentown.

Rosa Blanca, a Cuban café and rum bar, will offer a $39, three-course menu with main course options of Korean BBQ croquetas, chicharron karaage or ropa vieja fried rice. Meals include a mocktail of choice.

Okatshe, a modern take on traditional Japanese izakaya, will offer a $42, four-course menu with third-course options of spicy tuna roll, salmon avocado roll, shrimp tempura roll or green bamboo roll (asparagus, cucumber, topped with avocado). Meals include edamame to start and mochi ice cream for dessert.

Additional multi-course menus are available at the newly opened Spice Route ($33.99 includes one soup, one appetizer, one main course, one rice/bread and one dessert); Simpatico Italian restaurant ($38, three-course menu with main-course options of porcini pappardelle, chicken Milanese or pappardelle ripine); Pennsylvania Rye Company ($38, three-course menu with main-course options of beef cheeks, beer braised pork belly or clams and linguine); and The Dime ($60, three-course menu with second-course options of steak frites, 14-ounce pork chop or spaghetti AOP).

Also, Ume Asian Cuisine is offering a three-course meal, $55 for two people, that includes entrée options of basil jumbo shrimp, Hunan beef, General Tso’s chicken, dynamite roll, psycho roll or Hamilton Tower (all served with side of pineapple fried rice). Meals include one glass of wine or beer for each guest.

Fast-casual spots are also participating in Downtown Allentown Restaurant Week.

Amigos Mexican Grill is offering a $15 combo meal (includes one burrito or quesadilla, chips and salsa and a fountain drink), while Tiki Bowls is offering free power balls with the purchase of any bowl.

Additionally, Choco B is offering free hot chocolate with the purchase of a half dozen or dozen chocolate-covered strawberries, and La Cocina del Abuelo is offering two taco combos: three traditional tacos (chicken, steak, al pastor, chorizo, pork, beef or veggies) with agua fresca and dessert for $21; and choice of three birria tacos, salmon tacos, shrimp tacos or lengua tacos with agua fresca and dessert for $26.

The original location of La Cocina del Abuelo, also known as Grandpa’s Kitchen, operates on Hamilton Street in downtown Allentown.

Other promotions include a select shareable and select pizza for $20 at Brü Daddy’s; $10 soup and baguette combo meal at Sophistiqué – French Bakery; $10 cookie duo (Biscoff, chocolate chip or red velvet) and $7.99 signature chillers (guava and dragon or Hawaiian blue) at Cozy Crumbs Café.
