BETHLEHEM, Pa. – B. Braun of America is announcing a change at the top.
The medical device and technology company based in Bethlehem will have a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) later this year.Â
Current CEO Rob Albert is retiring, and Michael Parden, current Managing Director of B. Braun U.K., will take his place effective May 1, the company said.

Albert joined B. Braun in 1984 and has held several leadership roles since then. He was named CEO in 2024. His retirement becomes effective on June 30.
Parden brings extensive experience in sales, marketing, operations and production, B. Braun said. Parden will relocate to the Lehigh Valley with his family.

“Michael’s operational expertise and collaborative leadership will strengthen our position in the North American market,” said Jean‑Claude Dubacher, Chairman of B. Braun of America, in a news release.
B. Braun is part of the B. Braun Group of Companies in the U.S. Its parent company, the B. Braun Group, is headquartered in Germany and employs more than 64,000 employees in 64 countries.
Locally, B. Braun’s corporate headquarters is at 824 12th Avenue in Bethlehem. It also has a manufacturing facility in Hanover Township, Lehigh County.
