In conjunction with their parent club the Detroit Tigers, the Erie SeaWolves have announced the 2026 field staff.
Tony Cappuccilli will be the manager for the SeaWolves during the 2026 season. Cappuccilli had previously served as the manager for the High-A West Michigan Whitecaps who had a remarkable 2025 season under Cappuccilli. This will be his third season as a manager and his fifth overall season as an instructor.
Cappuccilli started his career as a professional coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers before becoming a manager of the Arizona Complex League (ACL) Dodgers. The Detroit Tigers hired Cappuccilli in 2022 to serve as a bench coach for the Toledo Mud Hens.
Included in Cappuccilli’s staff will be pitching coach Nick Green, hitting coach Kyle MacKinnon, bench coach Nick Franklin, athletic trainer Bryce Hietpas, assistant athletic trainer Marissa Nebel, strength and conditioning coach Paul Synenkyj, and dietitian Nazirber Maduro.
