ALLENOWN, Pa. – An Allentown food pantry is putting out the call to help keep its shelves stocked.
The ThankFull Hearts foundation is located in the 900 block of Hamilton Street.
It collects food for those in need, and right now, the foundation tells us that their need is greater than ever.
They say their shelves are getting close to empty, so they’re asking for your help. The founder of the food pantry, Daniel Duch, says they had a big influx of people visit them right before the recent snowstorm.
Any donation of canned goods, non-perishables, pantry items, or any other everyday essentials will help including hygiene products.
It’s open twice a week and typically feeds between 30 and 60 families each day it’s open. ThankFull Hearts also helps out with homeless encampments.
You can call (610) 969-6263 or visit their Facebook page for more information.
“We are currently at 15% in the pantry right now. We had a big influx of people come visit us right before the snow came and we liquidated what we could so that way people in the community would be able to eat,” says Duch.
