Person dead after fire in Fort Erie, Ont.’s Crescent Park neighbourhood

Niagara police are investigating a fatal fire in the Crescent Park neighbourhood of Fort Erie, Ont.

Officers say a person was found dead inside the garage of a home in the area of Lakehurst and Englewood avenues.

Detectives say the Fort Erie Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire quickly.

Englewood Avenue remains closed while police investigate the death.

The cause of the fire is also under investigation.
