Gracie Jane Sinclair & The Band, a soft rock and country music act, won the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic Battle of the Bands on Saturday, which means the band will join the orchestra in a joint performance. The details will be worked out between the two. The win comes with $5,000, plus another $1,000 as winner of the Audience Choice vote. Sinclair is a native of the Mountain Top area. The $1,000 second-place prize went to So Much Hope, Buried, a post-hardcore band from Swoyersville. More than 400 people attended the concert at Mohegan Pennsylvania casino in Plains Twp.
