The Tamarack Wildlife Center in partnership with Wild Excellence Films will share the story of the Bald Eagle through a film titled, No Safe Exposure: Rehabilitating America’s Eagles. The film will be screened to the public on Feb. 7 at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

The Tamarack Wildlife Center had been recognized throughout Pennsylvania for its specialized care of Bald Eagles before releasing them back to the wild. The film will showcase the many challenges that these birds face from vehicle collisions to lead poisoning.

Lead poisoning is listed through the fil as one of the preventable dangers and how individuals in the community can protect wildlife.

Prior to the film there will be informational tables that include:

Tamarack Wildlife Center (with live Raptor Ambassadors)

Erie Bird Observatory

North American Lead-Free Partnership

Pennsylvania Game Commission

Wild Excellence Films

Light refreshments will be provided at the event and the event itself is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted in the support of wildlife rehabilitation and conservation efforts.
