Nelson “Ozzie” King
OBITUARY
Nelson “Ozzie” King passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 26, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on September 21, 1938, in Bethlehem, Ozzie was known for his warmth, kindness, and love for his family.
Ozzie was a graduate of Liberty High School and worked for over 44 years at Bethlehem Steel, where he served as General Manager of Hazardous Waste and Vehicular Services. After retiring, he continued working as a shuttle driver for Scott Cars for 14 years, enjoying the friendships he made along the way.
In his free time, Ozzie loved going to the beach, casino, watching horse races and NASCAR, and cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Bethlehem.
SURVIVORS: He is survived by his beloved wife of more than 33 years, Sara Phillips King; his children, Rory J. King and Daughter-in-law Tammy, Tara King, Craig King and his wife, Carol, Lisa Sutphen, and Brad J. King; his seven grandchildren – Jade, Kayla, Khile, Gabrielle, Arielle, Valerie, Elisha, Joshua and Jarred; his twelve great-grandchildren; his sister, Kandy Waas; and his cherished dogs, Gunner and Winston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father Nelson King and Mother, Dorothy (Fritchman) Pollinger; his brother, Wayne Pollinger; and his beloved dogs, Parker Dugan and Redford.
SERVICES: A Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 A.M. until time of the service. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
