LOWER HEIDELBERG TWP., Pa. – The discovery of a woman’s body inside a western Berks County home has prompted a death investigation.
Berks County Detectives, along with Lower Heidelberg Township Police, are conducting an investigation into the death of Candice Riehl, a 53-year-old woman from the Wernersville area.
On the evening of Saturday, January 31, officers responded to a residence at in the 600 block of Fairmont Avenue, Lower Heidelberg Twp., for a report of an unresponsive female, later identified as Riehl.
Authorities say Riehl was the sole resident of the property.
An investigation into the circumstances of her death is ongoing and an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday at Reading Hospital.
