A vote on a $60M renovation and repair project for the Bethlehem School District is happening.

BETHLEHEM, N.Y. (WNYT)- Bethlehem homeowners are voting Tuesday, February 3 on a $60 million proposal to renovate school district buildings.

As part of the plan, 45 classrooms would receive new floors, ceilings, lights and cabinets. The proposal also includes adding air conditioning in gyms, libraries and cafeterias throughout the district.

The district aims to modernize infrastructure such as roofs, windows and doors. School leaders say the project would not impact taxpayers.

Voting is currently taking place in the high school gym and will conclude at 9 p.m. tonight.
