Baker had four wins to lead Dunmore past Scranton in girls meet – Scranton Times-Tribune

Meredith Baker won two individual events and contributed to a pair of relay wins to lead Dunmore to a 48-47 win over Scranton on Tuesday in a Lackawanna League girls swim meet.

Baker won the 100-yard freestyle and the 100 breaststroke. She joined Paige Ancherani, Peyton Ancherani, and Kylie Farr to win the 200 medley relay. Baker, both Ancheranis, and Emma Golosky were part of the 400 freestyle relay for the Lady Bucks.

Ava Labar (200 free) and Emma Schaefer (50 free) had individual event wins, and relay wins for Scranton.

Scranton Prep 110, West Scranton 36: Rebecca Oakes won the 200 IM and the 100 back, and was part of two winning relay teams as the Classics remained undefeated in the Lackawanna League.

Boys swimming

Lukas Iannone won the 50 free and the 100 breaststroke to help Scranton Prep to a 90-79 win over West Scranton in a Lackawanna League meet.

Iannone beat West Scranton’s Roy Ayala in the 100 breast in a matchup of two All-Region swimmers. Iannone had a time of 59.04, while Roy Ayala touched in 59.55.

Ben Kessler added wins in the 100 free and the 100 back for the Cavaliers.

Roman Camarillo won the 100 fly and the 500 free, Roy Ayala won the 200 free, Jordan Ayala won the 200 IM for West Scranton.
