Delaware Valley is the premier boys’ swimming program in the Lackawanna League. It’s been that way since its inception in 2007.

The Warriors have 39 straight dual-meet wins and are 151-3 in league history.

On Wednesday, they face their most daunting challenge in the last four years: Abington Heights. Both teams enter the meet undefeated, and the winner will have the inside track on the league title. The meet starts at 4:30 p.m.

Ryan O’Connell is a two-time All-Region selection for the Warriors (7-0). He won a bronze medal in the 100-yard freestyle and finished fourth in the 200 individual medley in last season’s District 2-4 Class 3A subregional meet.

Thomas Zaucha is one of the top swimmers in the 200 free and the 100 breaststroke. John Calabria is steady, as has Samuel Fisher and diver Benjamin Kruler.

Abington Heights (7-0) has some of the fastest swimmers in the state, and they have dominated this season.

Jason Casper is the reigning Times-Tribune Male Swimmer of the Year. Derek Williams is an All-Region sprinter. Geoff Stanton was an All-Region swimmer. Micah White and Ryan Horutz are two of the top divers in District 2.

Casper had an outstanding performance at the recent 2026 LAC IMX Extreme Meet at Franklin and Marshall College’s Kunkel Natatorium. He was the top point scorer in the 17-year-old division of the IMX Extreme competition with 3,604 points and won the 500 free (4:50.02), the 200 breaststroke (2:15.74), the 200 fly (1:59.29), and the 200 IM (2:00.26).
