Francine A. Halkovic
OBITUARY
Francine A. Halkovic, 76, of Throop, passed away Thursday evening at Regional Hospital of Scranton after an illness. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Frank and Hedy Kuropatwa Halkovic, she was a graduate of Throop High School and a member of St. Carlo Acutis Parish at St. Anthony’s Church in Throop.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the printing department at Oppenheim’s in Scranton, and also worked at Affiliated Food Distributors in Scranton. She was a loving sister, aunt, and friend to many who enjoyed all types of activities including crocheting, embroidering, reading, and spending time with her sister and friends.
Francine is survived by her sister, Kathleen Dolan of Throop; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Mr. Benny.
There are no funeral home viewing hours. Services will be at the convenience of the family and announced at a later date. Arrangements by the John J. Turko & Sons Funeral Home, Dickson City.
