Looking for Something Unique to Do on Valentine’s Day? The Philadelphia School of Circus Arts Is Hosting an Adult Circus Prom

Published on February 4, 2026

Valentine’s Day is getting a high-flying twist in 2026 as the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts (PSCA) hosts its first-ever Adult Circus Prom on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM at its atmospheric Circus Campus in Mount Airy.

Designed for adults who skipped prom the first time around—or simply want a much better redo—Adult Circus Prom blends classic prom-night nostalgia with the playful, inclusive, and slightly surreal energy of contemporary circus. Think tuxedos and sequins beneath cathedral-style ceilings, a DJ spinning decades of dance-floor classics, and aerial apparatuses hanging overhead as circus artists weave moments of spectacle throughout the night. Tickets are available at phillycircus.com/upcoming-shows-events/

Hosted inside PSCA’s former church-turned-circus-school, the evening intentionally blurs past and present. Guests are invited to relive the best parts of high school—awkward dancing, photo ops, and over-the-top outfits—without the pressure, cliques, or judgment. This time, it’s all confidence, self-assurance, and fun.

“Adult Circus Prom is a night to laugh, connect, and give yourself permission to try something new,” said PSCA Executive Director Kitsie O’Neill. “PSCA exists to make circus arts accessible to all, and this event captures our culture perfectly—no pressure, no perfection, just fun. It’s also a great night for those who didn’t feel comfortable attending their prom. We hope to create a welcoming space for everyone, including our LGBTQ+ community.”

Adult Circus Prom is unapologetically playful, with tongue-in-cheek nods to classic prom tropes—minus the teen angst. There may be a mock “dad lecture” about curfew. You might find yourself laughing in a stairwell. You will not get detention. And at some point, as the DJ moves from ’70s classics to today’s hits, you may suddenly be questioning whether you still remember the Electric Slide, the Macarena, or the latest TikTok dance.

Throughout the night, guests can expect:

A live DJ spinning prom favorites from the 1970s through today

An open dance floor beneath aerial apparatuses

Ambient circus performances appearing between dances

A show-stopping aerial champagne pour from a performer suspended above the crowd

DIY origami corsage and boutonniere stations for handmade keepsakes

Big-top-inspired photo moments with on-the-spot printed keepsake photos

A cash bar featuring beer and soda from Tired Hands Brewing Company

The event unfolds across two dedicated spaces on campus. The main Adult Circus Prom (21+) takes place upstairs under soaring ceilings and circus rigging. Downstairs, PSCA offers a separate supervised childcare space for children ages 5 and up, making it a rare Valentine’s option for parents and caregivers who still want a night out.

Kids will enjoy circus play, games, and a movie while adults dance the night away—or even head out to dinner before returning for the prom festivities. Childcare is available for an additional fee, with sibling discounts offered.
