Week 8 Winners: Liam Whitling and Emma Simeral
Liam Whitling and Emma Simeral earned last weeks performer of the week honors. Liam won the Rocky Grove invite in a time of 17:10. He won the race by 14 seconds over the field.
Emma won the Neshaminy Invite by 24 seconds over the field. Simeral ran 19:53 en route to her victory.
This week was most schools league championship meets and the stars came out to play as everyone prepares for districts this upcoming week and weekend.Â
This Weeks Boys Candidates:

Brock Yoder (Malvern Prep) – Brock went down to VA for the second time this year running a new pr of 14:54 to place 3rd at the VA XC Showcase.
Nicholas Mazzeo (Lower Merion 01) – Nick raced twice this week winning both meets he competed at first on Tuesday he won the Central League XC championships running 15:48 on the hilly Rose Tree course. On Saturday Lower Merion went up to Boston to get a preview of the Brooks regional course where he again won the meet in a time of 15:10.
Justin Landis (North Penn 01) – Justin had the Suburban One League Championships on Friday at Lehigh where he ran 15:08 en route to his victory over a loaded field with many top 25 ranked PA athletes in the field.
Travis Furmanski (Cedar Crest 03) – Travis won his league championship meet this past week in dominate fashion. Furmanski ran 15:14 en route to his 38 second victory over the field. He also led his team to the team title win.
Matt Gosling (Council Rock North 01) – Matt placed 2nd at the Suburban one League Championships this past weekend in a time of 15:16. Through 2 miles Justin and him were neck and neck and Justin seemed to separate a bit over the last 1.1 miles.

Mackenzie Skelly (Penn Charter) – Penn Charter went down to VA this weekend to race at the VA XC Showcase. Mackenzie placed 3rd overall in a new pr of 16:44 improving on her already PA #4 all time mark.Â
Lanee Berkhimer (Martinsburg Central 06) – Lanee won her league championship meet in a new pr of 17:28 to move herself into the new PA #7 spot.
Berkeley Marcelis (Wissahickon 01) – Berkeley seems to find herself getting nominated week after week as she may only be a freshman but all she does is win. With yet another win this weekend at her league meet she ran 17:41 in what looked like to be a relaxed effort as she prepares for districts and states in the weeks to follow.
Virginia Kraus (Saucon Valley 11) – Virginia is another one that seems to find her self with nominations every week. This past weekend she ran 17:51 to win her league meet in a dominate fashion gapping the field by an insane almost 2 minute  victory.
Annie Moniz (Lower Moreland 01) – Annie placed 2nd at her league meet in a new pr time of 17:54.Â
