Hundreds of Met-Ed customers lose power in parts of Berks County | Northern Berks County

FLEETWOOD, Pa. – Hundreds of Met-Ed customers were in the dark Wednesday night.

FirstEnergy’s outage map showed a large outage along Route 662, through Fleetwood Borough and Richmond Township.

The first reports started coming in just after 6 p.m. The outage map showed the issue was resolved just before 10 p.m.

At its peak, more than 1,600 customers were without power.

There’s no word on what caused the outage.
