Albert C. Sharr

OBITUARY

Albert C. Sharr, a lifelong resident of Old Forge, passed away Friday morning at home. He was 66 years old.

Born on July 24, 1959, he was son of the late Albert P. and Bernice (Smith) Sharr. A 1977 graduate of Old Forge High School, he earned his Associates Degree in Business from Lackawanna College. He had worked for Lackawanna County’s Human Development Agency before retiring from PA CareerLink.

Albert loved a good meal, specifically one made from any Old Forge restaurant. A daily fixture at Marie’s Diner in Old Forge, the fellow patrons grew to be his extended family.

Also a loving uncle to his nieces, Michele and Desiree, Albert now rests at peace and will certainly be missed.

He is survived by his brother, Alan Sharr and wife Judy of Scranton; niece, Michele Backus and husband Edward and their daughters, Madison and Brynn Backus of Ransom Twp.; niece, Desiree Sharr-Hartman of Venice, Fl., and her son, Shane Hartman of Scranton; and cousins.
