A fire that occurred earlier this evening has left multiple people displaced and had killed one dog. Crews responded to the fire around 3 p.m.
The fire began on the second floor of 412 East 23rd and spread to the attic area. The fire continued to spread next door to 408 East 23rd where residents had already been evacuated.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
