ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Allentown police say a Burger King worker was found with a stab wound to the throat when officers responded to the restaurant Saturday night.

According to a news release from the Allentown Police Department, officers found the victim after being called to the restaurant at 1958 South Fourth Street around 6:14 p.m.

Officers immediately rendered first aid, and the victim was taken to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest hospital.

Police were able to locate the suspect, 18-year-old Brinley Capellan-Lopez, who is also a Burger King employee.

Brinley Capellan-Lopez of Allentown has been charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and aggravated assault.

In addition to the charges related to the Burger King incident, Capellan-Lopez was recently charged with obstruction of justice in a shooting near William Allen High School on May 21, 2025.
