DHS has been purchasing warehouses across the country to turn into immigration jails as the Trump administration’s deportation dragnet creates a need for more detention space. The federal agency’s facilities-management division bought Blue Owl’s 1.3 million-square-foot (120,774-square-meter) warehouse in Tremont, Pennsylvania, last month, according to a county deed.
